Ecommerce players are setting up fulfillment centers to service the world from the only airport free zone in Latin America. Cargo is received by sea and air, deconsolidated and stored at an SKU level on an “end-of-runway” basis, less than 200 meters away from the tarmac.
Orders are received with same-day cutoffs, cargo is pick-packed-shipped same day, with a reduced customs involvement allowing for same-day delivery to all main south American cities.
Companies are invoicing end-clients from their office at Latin America Cargo City, allowing for a fully tax-exempt operation.
