Latin America Cargo City continues innovating in order to adapt to the rapidly changing environment in the region. Recently, it has carefully designed a solution that can help Argentine pharmaceutical companies import to Argentina more efficiently, particularly considering delays they may encounter with import license approvals.
In essence, companies are able to ship products from origin prior to the import license approval to Latin America Cargo City. Upon arrival, the cargo is held at a bonded, GMP compliant warehouse, pending import license approval. Once approved, the cargo is shipped via truck or plane, arriving same day and significantly reducing lead times.
Additionally, companies can fraction cargo and send smaller shipments, reducing the working capital required to hold stock at the destination. As commercial needs materialize, cargo is fractioned and shipped on a “need-to” basis.
Thus far, over 100 trucks have been dispatched since this solution was put in place, with Argentine pharmaceutical companies considering this option as a way to address the uncertainties of the current context.
Latin America Cargo City is part of Corporación America, one of the largest airport operator in the world with a network of over 50 airports across 3 continents.
